Regional Fleet Pay ScaleOpportunitiesHarmon Transport, Inc., is currently looking for high quality, over the road drivers to drive our equipment. Drivers must have a minimum of one year, verifiable over the road experience in the last three years with driving school or two years without, and be at least 23 years. No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the last 36 months and have an acceptable driving record as reflected by your MVR. No positive drug screens. No felonies, DWI's or DUI's within the last 10 years. Pay ScaleDrivers are paid on a mileage basis. Total pay packages average over 40 cpm with benefits and bonuses. Base pay starts at 30 cpm paid on loaded and empty dispatched miles. In most cases, dispatched miles are based on practical route, not shortest.
BenefitsHealth Insurance, Prescription Drug Card, Dental Insurance and Life InsuranceHealth, dental, and life insurance is available after 90 days for the employee and his family. The cost for the employee is $36 per week. The premium for family members is dependent upon the age of the employee and is deducted weekly on a pre-tax basis. The health insurance includes a prescription drug card. VacationPaid vacation after 1 year of $500. An increase of $100 per year thereafter up to $1000. Performance BonusA bonus of .05 cents per mile will be paid for all dispatched miles for the month when a driver averages 10,800 dispatched miles or above in a three month rolling average. Minimum bonus is $540 and is paid approximately the third week of the following month. Per Diem PayThirty percent of your wages are considered per diem pay. The IRS allows us to allocate that amount to your meals and other road expenses. Because of that, you only are taxed on 70% of your wages. Example, if you earn $800 for the week, you are only taxed on $560. For someone married, filing jointly in Missouri with 2 deductions, you will take home an additional $49 for that week in tax savings. Your W-2 will only reflect the $560. Retirement PlanAfter a driver has earned $5,000 they may elect to contribute to a Simple IRA (Individual Retirement Plan). Harmon Transport will match that contribution up to 3% of the drivers taxable wages. The maximum that can be contributed in one year is $11,500. You may also contribute to a regular IRA in addition to this if you wish. This plan is 100% yours from the beginning, including our contributions. AccessorialLumpers for loading/unloading will be paid with proper authorization from dispatch and all necessary paperwork completed. If a load has more than 1 pickup point or unloading point, the driver is paid an additional $30.00 for each extra stop. Fuel BonusDrivers are eligible for a fuel bonus. The fuel bonus is based on a three-month average of dispatched miles. The scale for that bonus is as follows:
